It’s gross, dirty, outdated, and just makes me mad.  I’m talking about my bathroom! Have you ever gotten to the point where you just give up? Well, I have. I quit cleaning our bathroom because there’s no point in fighting and getting mad at soap scum and tile mold. They won’t go away and I will never win.

Let me make one thing clear, I DO clean the toilets. I mean being a lady and being out numbered 3 to 1 my bathrooms aren’t exactly fresh smelling. Ok, back to topic. By not cleaning the bathroom, my husband now even sees the need for a remodel. Yes, I won that debate.

Now, I’m a huge HGTV fan and addicted to Pinterest so of course I already know exactly what I want my bathroom to look like. I’m good at DIY projects so I can take on some projects. Even with taking on some DIY projects like redoing the vanity instead of getting a new one and doing all of the painting and trim work on my own, the overall remodel is so expensive! I’m very thankful for a banker husband who figures out how to pay for everything. The advice I’d give to anyone who is thinking of a bathroom remodel – make sure you get multiple bids. We had bids that ranged from $7,000 – $28,000 for the exact same work. That’s quite a large range. We removed the most expensive contractor and the least expensive contractor; the others that were left were very comparable. I’m excited for our project to start. I’ll make sure to share the before and after pictures.
