On the Brink of Something Big

I’m sure by now you’ve probably heard of Ted talks. Super inspiring, these talks gave an opportunity for big thinkers to bounce a big idea off of an equally forward-thinking crowd. The big pull was that these speeches were all equal; if you were the president of the US or a 14 year-old kid with a dream for the world you were given the same amount of time to talk.

Enter TedX: These are satellite events that are run by local crews and endorsed by Ted. Last year was the first TedXHennepinAve, a night of big thinkers from the Twin Cities discussing their visions for our great cities. It was an awesome night full of inspiration, collaboration, and most of all fun and new faces. This year promises to be no different, except for a name change and a bigger venue.

TedXMinneapolis’ theme is “The Brink,” focusing on those big moments when you know that something big is about to happen. The speakers this year will be talking about how they have approached those moments and the chances that we all have to create positive change that can spread a lot further than just the Twin Cities.

Sounds pretty good, right? Well if you want a ticket they are going fast. You can still get your hands on one by sending us a Facebook message or commenting on this article telling us why you absolutely have to be at TedXMinneapolis. We’ll choose a couple lucky people who will win a free ticket.
