Sunrise is a Certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI). The CDFI Fund works to generate economic growth and opportunity in our nation’s most distressed communities by injecting new sources of capital into neighborhoods that lack financing.
This certification, conferred by an agency under the U.S. Department of the Treasury, is held by approximately 100 banks in the U.S. Sunrise Banks was the first CDFI bank in both Minnesota and South Dakota.
