What is your favorite part of working at Sunrise?
My favorite part of working at Sunrise has been the people…and I love learning new things! Everyone here has been so nice!
Why is Sunrise’s Mission important to you?
I love the fact that Sunrise is committed to improving the communities that they are a part of. Making them better places to live, do business and thrive!
Which of the 10x values do you most identify with? Why?
WooHoo. I was instantly excited about the culture here at Sunrise. Having been here such a short time, I appreciated the fact that everyone I've met is SO welcoming! It makes coming to work fun! High morale usually results in enthusiastic, motivated workers that produce more!
What is your favorite motivational quote?
What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger…
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a teacher.
What do you do for fun when you’re not at work?
When I’m not at work I like to attend University of ND Hockey games, concerts, and I have a great group of friends at my local gym where I teach a class
Describe your family.
I've been married to my husband, Jay, for 26 years. We have a 23 year old daughter (Jordan) who is a NICU nurse in Grand Forks, ND, a 21 year old son (Chad) who was recently laid off from an “oil field” job in ND and will be attending college next fall in Bismarck ND, And one very spoiled 7lb Maltese named George!
What is something that most people at Sunrise do not know about you?
I am a 2 time breast cancer survivor. I was diagnosed the first time in 2007 and the 2nd time in 2011. I'm glad to report that I am cancer-free for a little over 4 years now! 🙂
