(St. Paul, Minn. | Sept. 12, 2022) — Kevin Valois, Sunrise Banks’ chief financial officer, has been named a CFO of the Year by Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal.

The award recognizes “outstanding financial leaders at Twin Cities companies large and small,” according to the Business Journal. Valois is one of 19 CFOs receiving the honor across numerous industries.

Nominees were evaluated by a panel consisting of other financial executives, who scored them on their contributions to the company and the community.

“Kevin’s strategic mindset and financial expertise has inspired Sunrise Banks’ continued growth and prosperity,” said Sunrise Banks CEO David Reiling. “He’s more than deserving of this award.”

Valois has been with Sunrise since 2019. As chief financial officer, he is responsible for managing the finance and accounting departments, as well as providing strategic financial advice to the board, CEO and management team.

Valois and other honorees will be recognized Thursday, Nov. 10, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Minneapolis Marriott City Center.
