Sunrise Banks CEO David Reiling has been shortlisted for the PayTech Leadership Award. Reiling is one of nine others shortlisted for the award, the winner of which will be announced on July 5 in London.

The PayTech Awards recognize individuals who have done outstanding work in the payments technology industry. In addition to the Leadership Award, PayTech has also shortlisted nominees for the Woman in PayTech Award, Rising PayTech Star Award and PayTech Team of the Year.

Entrepreneur Monica Eaton-Cardone, Starling Bank Founder Anne Boden and Tribe Payments CEO Suresh Vaghijiani were among those shortlisted for the Leadership Award with Reiling. The PayTech Leadership Award honors those who have excelled in delivering technical strategies to support key business objectives at their organization.

“It’s an honor to be shortlisted for this award, and I’m humbled to be in such great company among the other nominees,” said Reiling.

Reiling has been with Sunrise since 1995 and made community engagement and financial empowerment a cornerstone of Sunrise Banks’ mission. He recently authored his first book, Fintech4Good, which focuses on financial technology and its potential to help fight issues of economic inequality.
