(St. Paul, Minn. | May 10, 2021) – Sunrise Banks has named Todd Sharkey as the bank’s new chief credit officer.

Sharkey has been in the financial industry for more than 15 years and previously served as vice president of business services at Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union. He acted as Sunrise Banks’ director of credit and underwriting from February 2017 to June 2019.

Sharkey’s first day at Sunrise as chief credit officer will be May 24.

“I am so excited that Todd is coming back to Sunrise. He will be a great addition to the current leadership team,” said Sunrise Banks Integrator Mike Porcello.

As chief credit officer, Sharkey will be in charge of managing credit risk for the bank and will also be responsible for ensuring adherence to loan underwriting guidance and procedures. The position is part of the bank’s executive team, and Sharkey will report to Porcello.

In addition to his previous role at Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union, Sharkey spent more than 11 years with Associated Bank.
