(St. Paul, Minn. | June 29, 2022) — Sunrise Banks has promoted Sanjay Narendran to Principal Architect, a senior information technology position.
In this position, Narendran will act as the technology subject matter expert for IT and business projects and help the bank understand best practices on advanced cloud-based solutions. As Principal Architect, he will also help drive successful business outcomes for the bank by designing and building cloud solutions while broadening the IT teams’ knowledge through mentoring and education.
Narendran formerly served as a solutions architect for Sunrise. He has been with the bank since April of 2021. Narendran has played a key role in establishing Sunrise’s Cloud Native architecture, enabling the bank to scale its IT presence reliably and securely across the country.
In addition, he helped the bank launch and pioneer business and IT capabilities including Advanced Analytics, Machine learning, Realtime data and event processing, API integrations and modern UI/UX. As Principal Architect, Narendran will report to Sunrise Banks Chief Information Officer Brett Cooksey.
Before his tenure at Sunrise Banks, Narendran was with Cognizant for over a decade and a half in many IT engineering, architecture, and management leadership roles, where he helped several Fortune 500 organizations modernize, secure and transform their digital and cloud portfolio. His experience includes large-scale infrastructure and application modernizations targeting cloud ecosystems including Azure, AWS and reengineering high-volume legacy data stores to cutting-edge cloud data science platforms.
Narendran is a computer science major and an avid advocate of empowering business success through innovative technologies. He is a long-time Twin Cities resident and loves to spend time outdoors with his wife and 4-year-old son.
