Sunrise Banks is honored to announce Dr. Joyce Cacho as the latest addition to its Board of Directors.
Dr. Cacho brings extensive experience and expertise to the Sunrise Board. Her 25+ years of experience in global finance and risk management have seen her focus on sustainability as well as leadership positions in the wholesale and investment banking, manufacturing, and agribusiness industries. Dr. Cacho is also currently a board director at Minnesota-based Land O’Lakes, ranked 215 on the Fortune 500. Prior to that appointment, Dr. Cacho was a board director for Winrock International from 2009 to 2015, serving on their Finance/Audit and Executive Committees, as well as the Chair of their Nominations and Governance Committee. She has also been named a Board Leadership Fellow by the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD). Dr. Cacho is also the President of Adinura Advisory Services.

At George Washington University’s Elliot School of International Affairs, Dr. Cacho is creating and teaching a course on the subject of Sustainability and International Development Institutions. Dr. Cacho’s emphasis on embedding cuttingedge sustainability business practices in policies and programs reflects her commitment to cultivating a diverse leadership pipeline – especially of women and youth, to elevate the material, financial value creation from recognizing ESG assets in several industries.

Dr. Cacho holds a PhD in Brazil Agribusiness Investment & Corporate Finance (MBA Level) from the University of Missouri-Columbia; an MS in Commodity Marketing & International Trade from Virginia Tech; and, a BA in Economics with Computer Science/Programming from the University of Windsor. Her interest in shaping financial capital markets, including innovating financial products that foster broad-based inclusiveness, compliance and prioritizes local investment, was the driving force for her qualifying as a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS).
