(St. Paul, Minn. | April 14, 2022) — Two Sunrise Banks executives have received Twin Cities Business’ Notable Women in Banking award for their achievements in the financial industry and local community.
Sunrise Banks Chief Operating Officer Melodie Carlson and Chief Risk Officer Teri Hodgett both received the recognition. Twin Cities Business magazine gives out the award annually and recognized female bankers from around the Twin Cities metro.
Over the last 18 months, Carlson has taken on additional responsibilities on top of her role as an executive. This includes managing all retail staff and bank branches as well as fintech partnership client relationship managers.
Hodgett was promoted twice in 2021 and ran compliance for the Paycheck Protection Program while also helping to modify the bank’s Pathway2HomeSM ITIN Mortgage program, which provides a path to homeownership for those that may not qualify for traditional financing.
Hodgett has been with the bank since 2017. Carlson joined Sunrise in 2015. Both have extensive experience in the financial sector. Carlson spent 14 years at Target Corporation working in various roles in the finance pyramid including internal audit, accounts payable and payroll before coming to Sunrise. Hodgett has held previous positions at TIB-Bequeaith Banking Solutions, Bell Bank and Lake Community Bank.
