June marked the second annual “B of Service” month for Certified B Corps across the globe. During June, Certified B Corps were tasked with volunteering in their communities and sharing stories via social media.

As one of B Corp’s “Best for the World” honorees this year, Sunrise Banks is no stranger to community service. But, this B Corp campaign is a great reminder for us to do more, encourage others to B of Service, and ultimately, multiply our impact in the community.

For our B of Service activity, approximately 45 Sunrise Banks employees volunteered for Habitat for Humanity. Sunrise was excited this year to also have fellow B Corp thedatabank, gbc join in our B of Service activity. We will also be volunteering another day in July to accommodate our staff interest.

June may be behind us, but I challenge you to B of Service and volunteer at least once this summer (if you already volunteer regularly, do something new!).  So, what will you do? #BofService
