Sunrise Banks offers fraud monitoring and protection services to help keep your funds safe. We provide 24/7 card monitoring, the ability to lock and unlock cards as necessary and an online transaction dispute resolution tool.
Peace of Mind with Account Monitoring
You can choose to receive real-time alerts about many kinds of account activity through your digital banking account: account balance thresholds, charge backs and fees, statement generation, posted transactions, and more. It’s easy to get started:
- In the Settings tab, click Alerts & Notifications.
- Click the Manage Account Alerts
- Verify that your contact information is correct and click the Next
- Enter the activation code that was sent to you and click the Activate
- Click the Close button when you are finished.
You will now be able to see a list of all account alert types. To enroll in an alert, activate the toggle to the left of the alert you would like to receive.

Consumer Debit Card Monitoring
Consumer card monitoring is integrated into our personal digital banking and mobile app services. All alerts can be sent to your email and/or phone via text message. Our card management options allow you to:

Business Debit Card Monitoring with CardValet®
The CardValet app saves time and adds an extra layer of security for business debit card users. With CardValet, you can instantly lock your card from your smartphone if it’s lost or stolen. You can also instantly unlock the card if it is recovered. In addition, CardValet lets you:
- Set spending limits
- Establish transaction controls for dollar amount limits, merchant categories and geographic locations
- Receive alerts1 when your debit card is used, approved or exceeds the transaction controls
- Stay informed of potential fraud with alerts on attempted or declined transactions
- Get real-time balances for your accounts
CardValet must be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play separately from the Sunrise Banks app.

With text fraud alerts, if our system detects suspicious activity on your card, you’ll receive a text message with details about the suspected transaction. All you have to do is respond to the text to confirm the transaction. If you indicate the transaction is fraud, you’ll receive another message with a number to call for follow-up. If not, you’re all set. The system will mark the transaction as legitimate and you can get on with your day – simple as that!
Cardholders are automatically enrolled. If we have your mobile phone number on file, you don’t have to do anything. It’s really that easy. If there is suspicious activity, we’ll send a text alert right away.
All texts will be from short code 37268. If you need to verify or update your mobile phone number, give us a call at (651) 265-5600 Off Site Link.
You may be contacted via text message or a phone call. Message and data rates may apply.. You have the ability to opt-out of the service at any time by replying “STOP” to the short code 37628.

Quickly Initiate Transaction Disputes Online
Sunrise Banks provides an easy online tool to dispute account transactions, through your Digital Banking account. Use this tool to dispute ATM transactions and track the status of transaction disputes made at one of our locations.
You Can Dispute the Following Transactions Online:
- Fraudulent ATM Transactions
- Incorrect ATM Cash Received
- ATM Cash Not Dispensed
Report a Lost or Stolen Card
Notify Sunrise Banks as soon as possible if your card has been lost or stolen.
