For the second year in a row, Sunrise Banks has been recognized by Fast Company on its 2023 Brands That Matter list Off Site Link. The program showcases companies and organizations that demonstrate brand purpose and cultural relevance by authentically communicating their mission, ideas and values.
In 2023, Fast Company recognized 165 honorees. Off Site Link They include small, family-owned businesses, large multinational corporations, sports teams and nonprofit organizations. Honorees are chosen based on cultural relevance, ingenuity and business impact.

Fast Company specifically called out Sunrise Banks’ commitment to building a better future, including serving un- and under-banked communities, ensuring 60% of loans go to low- and middle-income census tracks and committing to go carbon-neutral by 2050.
Other brands on this year’s list include General Motors, Girls Who Code, Aveda, Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen, NFL, Kaplan, Intuit, Stanley and Rare Beauty.
“At first glance, there might not be much in common between some of the brands on the list—their industries, like the work we’re recognizing them for, are wide-ranging—but the characteristic all of them share is a commitment to their purpose as a brand and relevance to their audience, whether that’s through fun, games, beauty, or beyond,” according to Fast Company, an American business magazine with readership in the hundreds of thousands.
